This is a video with a pretty good (although dry) history of physical media and the rise of boutique labels.
I found the start of boutique labels pretty fascinating, and although probably not exhaustive, it gives the casual fan or collector some great information about the early days.
Every month I try and bring you the list of movies I found hunting around local thrift stores (op shops).
I was pretty busy with life and illness (it’s turning cold here in Australia) this month, and so I haven’t been able to get out as much, but I did manage to pull into a thrift store which always has some good DVDs to grab.
This is a great little video of a time lapse covering 33 years of Blockbuster store, chronicling their rise during the 1980s and 90s, and then the start of the collapse in the mid-2000s.
There are so many genres and sub-genres of films out there that I difficult to decide what to watch.
And Lord knows I have a stack of movies on DVD & Blu-ray I bought and still haven’t watched.
